A short guide to the domain and hosting platforms in our roundup video.
Our roundup video covers 17 domain and web hosting platforms. It is a good place to start if you are choosing where to register a name or host a site.
On this site the group is called Hosting & domains. It lists registrars such as NameSilo and Namecheap, domain marketplaces such as Sedo, and hosting providers such as Cloudways and SiteGround.
Registering and hosting are two jobs. Many people buy the name in one place and host in another. Check renewal prices, since the first year is often cheaper than the rest.
Watch the roundup, then open the tool pages to go to each provider's own site.
